This cyanotype image is an elephant under water. To make this I used a solution that is green when put on paper, but turns blue when in the sun. I printed a picture on a transparency sheet and put it over the paper with the solution on it. I then placed it in the sun for about ten minutes. After ten minutes I washed it and it was blue. The lighter spots had more coverage and the darker spots had less.
For this I used texture creme to make swirls all over. I then used a variety of blues and different metallic colors to make a mix of color. I like this piece I think that it is different and abstract. It is something that can only be made once because of the random splatters of colors.
For this I used different parts of different magazines and cut out blues, blacks, and pinks. if you look closely you can see that some pieces have words on them. For the bird i cut long strips. For the tree branches and the blossoms i just cut out squares and random shapes to piece them all together.
Three canvas, acrylic paint, and texture paste. I call it "Caballo de mar" spanish for seahorse. I used acrylic paint and texture paste to make the paint seem thicker. I then painted over it to touch it up. The background is my favorite. I love the abstract look of the water and how the image pops against it.
Quilling with construction paper. I made the house from UP. I cut strips of paper and rolled them all in tight rolls to make the balloons. I used the same technique for the roof. I weaved paper for the house. I glued on strips of paper for the strings.
